Canada had their own production of R16's and also exported them to the US

The first R16's imported to Canada didn't have any side markers as this picture of a 1968 R16 TS shows
The first R16's made in Canada had small round side markers, orange on the front wing and red on the rear wings
These cars still had the European front.
Later Canadian made cars have rectangular side markers
They are also fitted with twin sealed-beam headlights and overriders on the bumper like the cars in the US.
Early cars for N.America have red rear turn signals, the whole lens is red!
